A VMware Bedtime Story For Your Little Ones..

A few weeks ago, VMware has organized a family day at the office. I had the chance to bring my little boys and girl together with me to spend a day there. It was such a lovely fun day which sparked a lot of questions in their mind. On that night, my little girl, Yasmine, asked me: “Dad, what do you do at work, and how can I work for VMware?”. So I decided to respond to her question as a story.. and here is what I said…

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Yasmine. Yasmine was a bright and curious 8-year-old girl who loved to learn about new things, especially computers and technology.

She worked very hard in school, and she always trained her brain just like she trained her body. Yasmine knew that if she studied and learned as much as she could, she might one day get to work for a great company like VMware.

But Yasmine didn’t know what VMware do exactly!

You see, sometimes big companies have lots of computers that they use to do all sorts of things, like keep track of money, send emails, or make products. These computers take up a lot of space and use a lot of electricity. It is also very expensive to keep all these computers running all the time.

That’s where VMware’s magic comes in. They have a special way of making all the computers work together, without taking up so much space or using so much electricity. They do this using something called “cloud computing” and “virtualization.”

Cloud computing is like a big cloud in the sky that stores all the information that a company needs. It’s called a “cloud” because it’s like a big puff of white fog, but it’s actually made up of lots of computers that are all connected together.

And virtualization is like a magician’s trick. It’s a way of making one computer act like many different computers. This way, a company can use one computer to do the work of many computers, without having to buy a lot of computers.

But one day, something went wrong, one of those companies got so many new clients, and needed to use a lot of computers to do their work, and they didn’t have enough money, and not enough space in their own buildings to store all of these computers.

This is where VMware’s team came in!

VMware has helped this company to move to the cloud, this way, the company could use as much computer power as it needed, without having to worry about running out of space in its own buildings, and pay less money with the help of the virtualization magic.

This company was very happy with what VMware did for them, as this helped them save a lot of money and made their work easier. They also knew that they couldn’t have done it without VMware’s help…

Yasmine was very impressed by VMware’s magic. She knew that if she kept studying hard and training her brain, one day he might get to work for a company like VMware and help make the world a better place.
